Our Purpose
Upgrade INDIA’s healthcare infrastructure in local and governments hospitals making healthcare a basic human right for every Indian.
Our Larger Goal
Provide well-equipped ICU units in rural hospitals within 30 minutes reach for every Indian.
Why We Started
The Catalyst: The urgency of the COVID-19 crisis ignited our mission, but the enduring needs of rural healthcare fuel our continued journey. We started to offer a breath of relief, and we continue to breathe life into rural healthcare.
The Gap: The disparity in critical care between India’s urban and rural regions is a gap where lives hang in the balance. Our mission is to close this gap, to ensure that quality care is not a privilege but a right for all.
Why 10 ICU Beds?
Ten ICU beds can mean ten families kept whole. In rural India, they represent the first rays of dawn after a long night—the very essence of hope. Join us, and be the change that turns potential loss into a celebration of life.
Our Solution: Solving the Pain Point
Mission ICU is a testament to what can be achieved when compassion meets action. With every ICU bed, we’re turning the tide against medical adversity, delivering not only state-of-the-art equipment but also a fighting chance for survival to the doorsteps of those who need it most.
Critical Care Medicine Journal Survey states India only has 2.3 ICU beds per 100,000 people.
Our Work: ICU Beds Unit
Building a Healthier Tomorrow, Today
Our work at Mission ICU is centered around establishing, upgrading, and maintaining Intensive Care Units (ICUs) across rural India. We take a hands-on approach in bridging the urban-rural gap of critical care infrastructure in under-resourced hospitals, ensuring every unit we set up is a beacon of hope and healing.
We divide our work into three critical areas: Infrastructure Development, Equipment Provision and Capacity Building
Our Mission
To save human lives by funding ICU Bed Units in local/government hospitals of rural India.

MISSION LEADERS SPEAK
Founders of Mission ICU share their purpose and experience on this mission.
Growing up in small towns, i know from experience, that most people in small towns go to the government hospitals for acute and emergency care. Unfortunately, government hospitals are the ones who are under resourced and understaffed. Through Mission ICU, our goal is to mobilize the spirit of philanthropy of global corporations and individuals to build a sustainable model of critical care in small towns, specifically by strengthening the public hospitals infrastructure.
There are only 350 intensivists in India for three lakh ICU beds and most of them are concentrated in urban areas. Public-private partnerships and implementation of technology can be critical to creating a pool of qualified and trained medical workforce in rural and tier 2 cities. This will ensure the hospitals aren’t just armed with high-end equipment but have a trained worker for every bed. Our aim at Mission ICU, is to create a sustainable impact that lasts beyond COVID by equipping public hospitals with state-of-the-art ICU bed facilities.
The joy of seeing someone enter the ICU in desperation and to then see them come out of the same premises recovered, is a priceless gift that cannot be measured by cold statistics. Mission ICU is a living example of injecting sustainability in the very hearts of hospitals and enabling them to manage surge capacity both for COVID-19 and for a post COVID-19 world. That's why mission ICU matters, that's why collaboration matters, that's why humanity flies high.
